Week 3 - MBA 6601 - Perspective and AI

Surfing the Tsunami emphasizes the need to take artificial intelligence (AI) seriously. AI is not something that you should just read about and put behind you; rather, you should dive into resources and spend both time and money continually seeking out new information about AI. Taking action to ensure that you have a solid understanding and knowledge base and acting on this information is extremely important. The time is now to take action.

People tend to view information in one of three ways, as a pessimist, optimist, or realist. The best way to think about AI is from a realist perspective. It is also important to take the time to view the information from another's perspective. Additionally, it is important to dig deeper for data so that you can inform yourself and then use the data to challenge the perspectives of those around you. Using data is always stronger and more convincing than ideas or opinions. Having the right and an adequate amount of data is useful for informing and making an argument. 

As a realist it is important to look into both the good and bad parts of AI and consider them all. Keep in mind while you are reading and learning to notice if AI is having a larger and much bigger impact that it used to, if people should be utilizing AI whenever possible, and if you should inform others or just use it for yourself personally and privately. If you keep these thoughts in mind while reading through AU data and information, it will inform you about both the good and bad that AI has to offer and lead you to that realist perspective. 

As Ai is currently having an impact in a big way, it is important to stay updated and informed. The information rapidly changes so paying for subscription services to get the most up to date news will definitely be beneficial. Limited access is available for free with some major news sites. In order to see everything that you need to stay informed, it is often necessary to pay the fee. Take your time and set aside some designated time to read about and move through the stages of adapt, adopt, adept. When initially pursuing AI, do not get overwhelmed. You will eventually get there.

Where does the whole process lead? To the global stage. In order to make it, you have to comprise a competent team that will get you there. Then you cannot leave your team behind, but rather you must take them with you. But do know that it is not all about your team. It is also about your customers. Ultimately, it is your customers who built your business by investing in your products and services, so take your customers with you to. Learn about your customers. Know the ins and out of your customers, what they want and need from you. In every aspect of your business you should ensure clarity and efficiency in each of your core practices. Implementing things that are important to your team and keep everyone in sync and on board with a shared and common goal. Help them to believe in what you are doing. Week 8 - MBA 6601 - Ad Campaign Reflection

 Overall, I feel like my ad campaign was successful in teaching me a lot of things. I had no interaction with Google Ads prior to this course. Now I feel like I could run an Ad Campaign with little difficulty. Tailoring it to turn profits may take some more time, but I feel like overall I was pretty successful. I'm not sure how many impressions and clicks people usually get in 10 days, but I was happy with the amount I received. Above is the final count. I ended up spending $45.05 in total. Over 61,000 impressions and that got me a total of 152 clicks on my ads. I initially had a $7 a day limit set because of the slow start with clicks in the first 24 hours but when it began to pick up that is when I backed off to the $5 a day that my professor suggested. It is pretty impressive how fast the price ads up when the clicks start rolling in.  I did find the app helpful in keeping an eye on things. It is very user friendly.
